A trip between the Chilean and Bolivian Altiplano, submerged between the beauties of the Atacama desert in Chile and its spectacular landscapes of the beautiful town of San Pedro de Atacama, entering the region of Sud Lípez in Bolivia, Laguna Verde, Laguna Colorada, Salar de Uyuni, La Paz city in Bolivia, ending on the mythical Isla del Sol, a journey between mountains, salt flats and lakes.

Day 2 / Santiago - Valparaiso

Visit of the city of Santiago from the Plaza de la Constitución, Presidential Palace “La Moneda”, the Plaza de Armas (km 0 of Santiago), the Cathedral of Santiago, Balmaceda Park, we will also see the old train station built by G.Eiffel today cultural center, “Mapocho Station”, and then the Forest Park. In the afternoon transfer by private bus to the famous city of Valparaíso, a fascinating city, classified as world heritage. We will discover this mythical port and its bay, we will walk through the heart of these colorful and beautiful hills with streets and narrow stairs, funicular and elevators, old neighborhoods with tin houses, Pablo Neruda’s house and the many viewpoints that dominate the bay. Day 3 / Vaparaiso - Santiago - San Pedro de Atacama

Departure in the morning to Santiago airport and flight to Calama. Transfer by private minibus to San Pedro de Atacama, beautiful oasis at 2400 m. above sea level at the foot of the beautiful Licancabur volcano. Several days of excursion we will have in this magical place, to discover fabulous desert landscapes, the first day to acclimatize to the altitude.Night in hotel.

Día 4/ Valle de la Luna - Cordillera de sal (2.500 M)

Free morning and afternoon excursion to discover the beauties of the desert: the dunes, eroded rocks, ocher tones, strange concretions of extreme aridity, ancient salt mines, walk in the famous Moon Valley.Night in hotel.

Day 5 / Salar de atacama, Quebrada de Jerez, Miñiques and Miscanti lagoons (4,000 M)

The  Atacama salt lake is an immaculate and surprising extension rich in borax, lithium and several salts that attract a large number of flamingos, avocets and some endemic species; which we will observe on this excursion, then walk through the green Quebrada de Jerez; visit to the atacameños towns of Toconao and Socaire. Arriving at the highlands of Miñiques and Miscanti, walk near these beautiful lagoons and then return to San Pedro. Night at the hotel.

Day 6 / Tatio Geysers

Located at 4,200 m altitude, 3 hrs. route with extraordinary views over the Andes Mountains and its colorful volcanoes; We arrive early in the morning, where the sun illuminates this field of boiling geysers in the heart of an ancient volcanic crater; walk and breakfast on site; Possibility of swimming in the hot springs… observation of the local fauna vicuñas, viscaschaz, Andean geese; returning to the town of Machuca and return to San Pedro de Atacama. At night we head towards the outskirts of San Pedro de Atacama to admire the Milky Way and its constellations in this immense desert, after 2 hours of observation, alternating between several telescopes , the explanations of our astronomer will be completed around a hot drink before returning to the town near dawn. Day 7 / Laguna Verde - Geiseres of the Morning - Laguna Colorada

After these 4 nights in the small oasis of San Pedro de Atacama, we will take the international route for 45 minutes and head for the high plateau towards the Bolivian side. We will arrive at the Hito Cajon border post, after completing customs procedures, we will meet With our team of Bolivian drivers from these highlands who will accompany us with their 4X4 with this new team we will begin to discover the wonders of the south of Lipez: the Green lagoon dominated by the Licancabur volcano (5,950 m) will be the opportunity to observe its changing colors . A very beautiful place for photography lovers. We will pass through the Laguna Blanca and then continue to Jara Pampa in the heart of a circus of mountains of intense red. The erosion has sculpted strange monoliths that sprout from an immense sandy plain. Crossing the Dalí desert before turning north to reach to the geysers Sun of Tomorrow, an ancient volcanic crater with sulfur effluents and hot steam. Finishing the excursion is day to the Laguna Colorada that owes its name to its intense brick red color. Night in salt refuge in the desert of the south of Lipez

Day 8 / Uyuni salt lake

Day dedicated to the discovery of the famous Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt deposit in the world, which has an area of more than 12,000 km² and that conserves an important mineral wealth of lithium, a metal much appreciated today. This is where 50% of the world’s known lithium reserves are located. During this day we will visit the giant cactus candelabra of the Incahuasi island that have more than a thousand years of existence, we will make a short walk in which we will have the opportunity to climb to the top of this island to enjoy an idyllic landscape of the Uyuni Salt Flats and the surrounding mountains. Night at a hotel in Uyuni.

Day 9/ Uyuni - Tunupa volcano

In the morning, departure at 07:00 from the guest house. For the walk (5 h), the path will take you to the first viewpoint that offers a panoramic view of the salt flat. After noon we will go to Uyuni. Night to Uyuni.

Day 10/ Uyuni - La Paz capital

In the morning, visit the city of Uyuni and the old cemetery of locomotives, where dozens of old steam engines have been abandoned for almost half a century to the extreme climatic conditions of the Altiplano and the afternoon transfer to Uyuni Airport and flight to La Paz . Arrival in La Paz at the end of the afternoon. Night in La Paz.

Day 11/ La Paz capital

Guided tour of La Paz on foot: Sagárnaga Street and local craft stalls (one of the most famous in South America), Witches Street, typical San Pedro markets, historic center, colonial district, Coca Museum. … Departure by minibus to discover the most beautiful views of the city of La Paz, with the backdrop of the giants of the Cordillera Real. Killi Killi and Laykakota Park and then the watchtower. From the Spanish Steps, we will descend to the “South Zone”, passing through Llojeta, the “Garden Cemetery” and the Moon Valley, strange limestone formations. Night at the hotel in La Paz.

Day 12/ La Paz - Tiwanaku - Copacabana town

From La Paz departure to the pre-Columbian site of Tiwanaku. Guided visit to the main archeological ruins of the Tiwanaku culture that during its heyday, was considered the largest city in the world and “the cradle of American civilization” we continue the route to the mythical Lake Titicaca and the Cordillera Real, we will cross the Strait of Tiquina and we will arrive at the small port of Copacabana. Night at the hotel

Day 13 / Copacabana - Isla del Sol - Yumani Village

In the morning visit the most interesting places in Copacabana. We will discover its cathedral, the hill of the Camino de la Cruz and then we go to the pier. (We will leave some of our belongings in the hotel since we will recover them the next day) .We will embark on a boat in this navigable lake, the highest world, we will sail for 1:30 hrs. towards the Isla del Sol and the Fuente del Inca. From there, we will climb a beautiful stone staircase of 500 steps, until we reach the small town of Yumani where we will have an impressive view of the Titi Caca with the backdrop, the snow-covered giants of the Cordillera Real. Night in a hostel in Yumani on the Isla del Sol.

Day 14/ Isla del Sol - Copacabana

From Yumani, we will walk north for about 1 hour to approach a viewpoint, where we will have a privileged view of Lake Titicaca and the Cordillera Real, we return along the same road heading south to visit the Temple of the Sun and then return to Yumani community to head towards the port, where the motor boat will be waiting for us to return to Copacabana in the afternoon. Night at the hotel in Copacabana.

Day 15/ Copacabana - La Paz

Return to La Paz from Copacabana in the direction of La Paz airport, and connection with international flight to Santiago de Chile and international flight to your destination.
